In football, Saruwe district will play against Mkwasi district at Selous Sports Club while Nehanda district takes on Chiwanza at Simon Chimbetu School.

In the other matches, Toendepi A have a date against Chambara A at Katawa grounds and Mkwasha clashes with Chambara B at Mkwasha Primary School.
In netball Kaguvi will battle it out against Toendepi B at Musunami grounds while Dombwe takes on Danangwe at Dombwe Primary School.
Chingondo will play Chikwangwadza at Nyatsanga Primary while Mkwasha date Chambara B at Mkwasha Primary.

Meanwhile, St Henry’s Chikurumadziva Secondary were crowned champions in the Wellington Nyatanga Wedza South constituency schools’ tournament 11th edition.
Participants from both Primary and Secondary Schools took part in football and netball.
St Henry’s beat Gumbonzvanda 1-0 in the finals to clinch the title.

Their junior team defeated St Barnabas 2-1 in the finals.
For girls’ soccer, Anderson beat Makwarimba 3-1 for Secondary schools while Makanda overpowered St Barnabas by the same scoreline in the Primary schools competition.
In netball St Margaret’s Chigondo beat St Thomas Chisasike 47-23 and Gumbonzvanda were the winners in the Primary School after they beat Anderson 33-28.

The winners in the tournament got floating trophies, football and netball kit and all the participating teams were given five appearance balls.
Management committee chairperson for the tournament, Bozwell Mudoti, said this year’s tournament was a success and bigger compared to previous events.
“This year’s tournament was much bigger than it was in the previous years in terms of organisational approach and package,” said Mudoti.
