There is one thing about international performers like Smith, these guys are so humble and they don’t speak much but instead they let the music do the talking.
Dressed in all black, Smith appeared ordinary and yet he is one of the top American gospel artistes in the universe who has travelled across the globe changing lives and exalting the name of the Lord in more ways than one.
“This is the beginning of many trips to Zimbabwe,” he said to loud cheers from the crowd.
Throughout his act, Smith kept the audiences on their feet playing all the popular hits, connecting with the crowd which in turn sang along.
Smith had touched hearts as he dished out some popular songs among them “Mighty To Save”, “Awesome God” and “Let It Rain” including others songs he penned specifically for Zimbabwe.
And he ended his performance with a message of hope for Zimbabwe and promised to return next year.
“I have been to Australia, Brazil, Europe and now Zimbabwe. The question that people have been asking me is what is my message. And do you know what’s message,” he asked, adding that, “My message is God’s grace.”
Earlier festival goers were treated to Nicole C. Mullen on Saturday who gave a splendid performance before an appreciative crowd. Other performers at the festival included man of song Pastor Herman Chimusoro and Pastor Hubert Chigumira.
