Monday
Hundreds of civil servants are settling into new homes at Emthunzini and Rangemore on the outskirts of Bulawayo as the flagship housing project, which is part of the Accelerated Presidential Housing Scheme, nears completion.
The neatly built four-room houses — developed by Hawkflight Properties and Maharba Properties — are fully serviced, marking a significant step in Government’s drive to provide affordable and decent housing in line with Vision 2030.
Tuesday
The Government has reaffirmed the ban on raw mineral exports, emphasising that the restriction applies to all minerals, not just lithium concentrates. In addition, the Government highlighted that the ban, which came into effect last week, was indefinite.
Wednesday
The Government is in constant contact with Zimbabwean embassies across the Middle East and has activated contingency measures to safeguard citizens in the region following a sharp deterioration in the security situation over the past few days. The escalation follows sustained United States and Israeli attacks on Iran, which have triggered panic across the globe and drawn several countries in the Middle East into the crossfire.

Zimbabwe on Wednesday scooped the Destination of the Year – Natural Wonders Award at the Pacific Area Travel Writers Association Awards held on the sidelines of ITB Berlin 2026 in Germany. This came as the country’s Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister Barbara Rwodzi was named Tourism Minister of the Year – Africa.
Friday
The Government has moved to cushion consumers by reducing some of its taxes and levies on fuel to avert an astronomical rise in the price of the commodity amid a spike in global prices triggered by the war in the Middle East. On Wednesday, the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority announced new fuel prices effective March 4, with petrol and diesel rising to US$1,71 and US$1,77 per litre, respectively.
