Monday

Treasury will pay all current and new local suppliers exclusively in the domestic currency, ZiG, under a new framework designed to entrench the use of the local unit and tighten control over public spending.

Finance, Economic Development and Investment Promotion Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube announced the measure on Friday when he introduced a National Standard Price List (NSPL), which will set reference prices for commonly procured goods and services across all Government ministries, departments and agencies.

Tuesday

The signing of performance contracts by Government ministries, departments and agencies represents a binding obligation to deliver impactful services to ordinary Zimbabweans through accountable, excellent and results-oriented leadership, President Mnangagwa has said.

Delivering his keynote address at the 2025 performance evaluation results and 2026 contract signing ceremony for senior public officials in Harare on Monday, the President underscored the Government’s commitment to improving people’s lives through efficient service delivery.

Wednesday

Cabinet has approved the review of licences, permits, levies and fees in the agriculture sub-sectors comprising crops, horticulture, fisheries and fertiliser as part of the Government’s wide-ranging reforms aimed at reducing the cost of doing business and enhancing economic growth.

Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Zhemu Soda announced the development on Tuesday while delivering a post-Cabinet briefing in Harare.

Thursday

The Government is opening up new supply avenues and strengthening distribution systems for fuel to ensure the continued availability of the product across the country, even as global market pressures intensify.

Friday

President Mnangagwa has urged local authorities to adopt Geo Pomona Waste Management’s pioneering model, saying the company’s scope and pace of development offer a blueprint for improving service delivery and community outcomes.

In his remarks at a luncheon held at the waste management facility’s new state-of-the-art restaurant, The Sprout, in Harare on Thursday, the President called on municipalities to tap into the firm’s innovative approach so that communities can benefit from the economic and environmental benefits of its model.
