DYNAMOS captain Murape Murape says they are fired up ahead of the Bob 90 Super Cup final against Highlanders this Sunday as the Harare giants begin life out of the more lucrative Champions League.The Premiership champions who are also holders of the Bob Super Cup are hoping to prevail over Bosso just like they did in last year’s edition.
Dynamos had a rest day on Tuesday following their return from their failed Champions League mission in the Democratic Republic Congo but it was business as usual yesterday with Murape maintaining that they are motivated for the clash against Bosso.
“The motivation is always there whenever we play any of our games be it a friendly, cup or league match. Especially being the Bob 90 where we are playing and celebrating the birthday of our President. We will give it 200 percent effort towards the match.
“The match against AS Vita is now in the past. We have to forget about that it is now water under the bridge and we cannot continue to dwell on that. At the moment we just need to be united and focused.
“We are disappointed by failing to progress to the next round of the Champions League but we don’t have to lose hope and focus.
“We believe we are the best team in the country. We believe in team effort and we will only worry with things we can control,” he said.
Murape said they were relishing another encounter with Highlanders and the first for the 2014 season.
“We are rivals and sometimes form doesn’t count in games like these. We are a strong team capable of going all the way and we want to do that with all the Cups that will come our way.
“We are not worried about Highlanders or the players they have acquired. It is good for them and we will do what is good for Dynamos and it is about the performance of the day,” he said.
Highlanders have brought in a number of new players such as Kudakwashe Mahachi, Charles Sibanda, Joel Ngodzo, Felix Chindungwe and Khumbulani Banda .
Murape believes it’s game on and they will display what the champions can do before the league season kicks off.
Dynamos coach Callisto Pasuwa has indicated that he would field some of the players who haven’t featured for the club in the Caf competition.
The tournament’s organisers yesterday said they are still working on the prize money and indicated that the 2014 package might be announced today.
