DYNAMOS chairman, Moses Maunganidze, believes they are still in the championship race and they are demanding a strong second half show.
The Glamour Boys have not won the league championship in seven years.
He said nothing has changed, in terms of their targets, and winning the league championship remains the main mission.
“We gave our coaches a five-game assessment,” he said.
“Going into the second half of the season, we are saying we still have a chance to win the championship.
“So, we believe that the results in the next five matches should be clear for us to see the team is going in the right direction.
“But our performances won’t be assessed in isolation.
“We are taking a holistic approach as we put the checks on the barometer.”
He added:
“As Dynamos, we were clear at the beginning of the season that we are vying for the championship and we still believe it’s possible.
“So, in the meantime, we wouldn’t want to see the gap between us and the table toppers increase. We want to make sure the gap is bridged and we claw our way back.”
Coach Herbert Maruwa started a five-game Survivor Series with a draw against Hwange at Barbourfields on Sunday.
DeMbare are nine points behind leaders Highlanders.
Maruwa was given five matches to prove himself following a 1-0 defeat to Premiership newcomers, Green Fuel.
Only a week earlier, Dynamos had crushed Yadah FC 5-0.
