Westridge High leaves for SA hockey festival

to take part in a hockey festival.
The hockey festival will be held in Treverton, KwaZulu Natal, during the Easter Holiday. The teams will take part in several events on their maiden tour of South Africa.
The 20-member delegation had their last practice session yesterday afternoon at the school. Nadal Khamil will captain the boys’ team while Quddus Farkhanda and Tererai Nyazika will be co-captains of the girls’ team. Team manager Gokal Kishore said they were ready for the tour.
“We prepared well for the events and we have a strong side. We are not aware of our opponents but we expect to play our best games.”
Munyaradzi Russell, the hockey head coach, said he expected a lot.
“We are using this tour as a build-up to the new season in the second term.
“This tour is all part of our preparations for the new season where we expect to pose a strong challenge,” said Russell.
