WESTWOOD College recently held its annual Career Fair, themed “Career Connections: Building Bridges to the Future,” at its campus near Kambuzuma.
The event drew hundreds of students, educational practitioners and parents, showcasing various career options and connecting students with professionals and institutions.
The Career Fair is aimed to expose learners to different career paths, enabling them to make informed decisions about their future.
Mr F Mataruse, the chairperson of the organising committee, highlighted the importance of career fairs.
“A career fair is important because it helps students make informed decisions about their future, learners explore career options, ask questions and understand what skills or subjects are needed for various jobs,” he said.
The event featured talented performances by Westwood College students, including singing, dancing, and speeches, demonstrating creativity, emotions, and skills.
The school Principal Mr James Masangomai was thrilled to see many enthusiastic students, parents and industry professionals gathered together for a noble cause. To show the college’s vision, the principal commended the fair as a testament to the college’s commitment to providing the students with opportunities to explore their passion and interests.
He also encouraged students to be inquisitive and make critical decisions that will shape their future.
Masangomai motivated learners to pursue their dreams and to take full advantage of the career fair.
“As part of our contemporary education strategy, Westwood College has made remarkable strides in helping students acquire driving licenses.

“Thank you Westwood College. You know it is not an easy task for an individual to choose an informed career pathway.
“Otherwise, most people lose their precious time and opportunities in life on unguided career decisions.
“We enjoyed a rare opportunity you presented to us and our kids.”
