TABLE toppers Wha Wha travel to asbestos miners Gaths Mine for a tricky encounter in the Zifa Central Soccer League. Wha Wha who lead the log standings with 10 points are buoyed by their 1-0 win over Chomumvuri Pirates last weekend. The hosts who started strongly with a 5-1 win over Wha Wha’s opponents last weekend in their season opener have been not so convincing.
The Mashava-based side is yet to win in two outings with their last game a 3-3 draw against newcomers Zvishavane Stars. The result left them sitting on eighth position.
However, Gaths Mine have a game in hand after their match against Tongogara was abandoned due to bad light after the army side arrived late for the match which will now be replayed on a later date.
Internal strife in the asbestos miners’ camp appears to have taken a toll on the performance of the team.
