WHAT a launch, what a performance and what an experience! These words resonated from everyone’s lips as they came out of the venue of Sandra Ndebele-Sibindi’s seventh album launch. The artiste surprised many by putting up a world class dinner launch, attracting the country’s cream in the business and entertainment world.
The album which mostly comprises her collaborations with the likes of Jah Prayzah, Jeys Marabini, X-Mile and South Africa’s Teddy Bears was sold during the launch for $5.
It was the track Love YemuShona ne Mundevere which features Jah Prayzah that stole the hearts of many and left people clamouring for an encore. It was an instant hit as it encourages love between the two ethnic groups, telling the story of two lovers falling in love regardless of them coming from different tribes.
Uyangilalela, a gospel ensemble that Ndebele-Sibindi sang with X-Mile is one to look out for.
Sandy said plans were under way to host a similar launch in Harare where she also commands a huge following.
