HAS Afro-fusion musician, Carlos Green, developed a drinking problem?
The ‘Tane Mari’ singer, who is no stranger to controversy, has been at the centre of a number of bar brawls that have tainted his name in Harare.
Carlos (36) has now joined the list of local artists who have earned the “bad boy” tag owing to their off the stage antics.
Last Friday, Carlos was at it again when he caused a scene during Alick Macheso’s album launch at Alex Sports Club after he poured beer on a few VIPs.
Luckily, this didn’t turn into anything very nasty after it was quickly contained by his friends who apologised to an offended couple on his behalf.
Suprisingly, Carlos picked up his beer glass from the ground and started drinking from the same cup.
A few weeks ago, Carlos had to be restrained by security guards after he pulled the same antic at Bar Rouge.
“We had a rough time to restrain some patrons at Bar Rouge after Carlos started a fight.
“I have tried to talk to him but he is not listening.
“I have no idea what’s going on with him,” said one of Carlos’ friends, who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Carlos lost his wife Shupikai Chapendama in 2020.
They had been married for six years.
The musician leads the VMV Band.
