When MDC formations abandoned workers

was breathing fire when he addressed what analysts said was a treacherous MDC-T policy indaba.

The ZCTU SG bemoaned the abandonment of workers by the MDC formations that now swim in seas of luxury splashed to them by the demonic western donors.

Fellow citizens, people must now be aware that millions of dollars that the British, Americans and the European Union claim to channel through civil societies in the name of accountability and transparency are the same millions used to make workers poor.

These are the same funds used for the asymmetric good of Zimbabweans when industries are closing down and the standard of living of workers and their families is getting worse. The west is in a celebratory mode, grinning from ear to ear as they happily watch NGOs and MDC use donor funds to protect western interests and for effecting regime change.

When the legion of western diplomats talk of accountability and transparent use of donor funds, the NGO’s and civil societies, through which the funds are managed get extremely excited of the asymmetric praise. One wonders whether they really know or whether they clearly understand the context in which the West use these nice words.

Accountability of the donor funds, to the westerners means making sure that the funds are used to maintain western interests through activities that prop up MDC formations’ refusal of social and economic rights such as land reform and indigenous black empowerment.

The funds are meant to make civil societies and MDC formations speak loudly against community shares and against workers owning shares in companies they work for. Transparent use of the funds, in the minds of the west, means making sure that the donor funds are distributed through western donor agencies so that they are deployed only for the purpose of protecting western interests.

The donor funds cannot be transparently distributed through government channels for they will be used to better the lives of the general populace who will not then revolt and dump Zanu-PF thereby failing the regime change agenda.

Fellow citizens, the abandonment of workers and industries was never an MDC strategy; it was a foreign strategy that was crafted by FBI, CIA, MI5 and MI6, themselves Security Sector Institutions for protecting imperial and capitalistic agendas in Zimbabwe. The same concept the western security agencies are using in Zimbabwe where demonically used in Guatemala, Chile, DRC, Mozambique and Angola where the West sponsored surrogate political parties to oust democratically elected governments.

People must realise that the West has no love for Zimbabwe workers but would rather make the workers suffer through illegal economic sanctions. The purpose of making the workers suffer and industries close is for the workers and the unemployed to dump Zanu-PF and sent it into political oblivion as nearly happened in 2008.

People must remember what happened in Zambia where UNIP was voted out by a labour based party which later mortgaged the Zambian copper mines to former colonial masters.

The scenario of labour organisations teaming up with the so-called civil societies to oust those who fought for political independence and later empowered the Zambians is the same concept that was or is employed in Zimbabwe.

Zanu-PF is currently experiencing a barrage of attacks from the MDC formations that are heavily funded by the West and supported by the western sponsored civil societies. Recently a group of civil societies such as crisis coalition in Zimbabwe and ZESN where denied audience by the AU where they had gone to advance MDC-T agendas on media and security sector reforms.

Sadly these organisations (NGO’S) do not give up on conducting treacherous activities regardless of the negative reception they get from Sadc or the AU. They continue to show and demonstrate a lot of treacherous energy, reactionary will power and satanic passion in their bid to sell out their heritage.

They do not care about the damage their nonsensical ventures cause on Zimbabwe’s sound political image. Theirs is to create a scenario that all is not politically well in Zimbabwe; that the situation can hardly be internally resolved but can only be monitored and supervised by foreigners particularly the west.

The MDC formations and their evil cooperating partners such as the West, civil societies and NGO’s rarely talk about strategies that aim at improving the standard of living of workers.

The donor community mostly talk about funds and grants that are channelled to non-productive sectors which do not generate employment that gives Zimbabweans sustainable economic development. Instead of giving Zimbabwe fishing rods the West particularly Britain and America are mainly interested in giving the fish.

The donor funds are distributed through Western propaganda mouth pieces (civil societies) that later use the money for bribing some elements of civil servants so as for the few corrupted civil servants to advance the regime change and protect Western interests.

The Western objective of bribing and corrupting some elements of the civil servants particularly teachers is for Zanu-PF to paint most of them with the same brush.

Surprisingly, instead of carefully monitoring and vigorously mounting an education and mobilisation of the civil servants some elements of Zanu-PF fall in the trap of labelling the civil servants as sell-outs. Surprisingly too, the majority of the civil servants most of whom are well educated, tend to believe in the propaganda and falsehoods that are spread by the few bribed and heavily paid members of the civil society. Money and food was heavily used by NGOs in 2008, as tools for bribing and corrupting the electorate.

It is this reason why Biti wanted private companies to buy maize from Zambia so that NGOs could easily use the food to bribe and corrupt the electorate to vote for the MDC formations as happened in 2008. The other reason was for NGOs to easily access and use the food as bait for luring back the MDC abandoned workers and supporters for them to again blindly vote for the MDC formations.
Both Zanu-PF and the workers have some critical lessons to learn from what transpired in the last decade. As the nation goes for the coming harmonised “watershed” elections, Zanu-PF must understand that in shona we say “haurasi mbereko pamusaka pekufirwa”.

As the only party that demonstrated a caring heart and the love for workers, Zanu-PF must go back to the civil servants demonstrating that worker caring phenomenon which saw it introduce the yearly minimum wages/salaries that was abandoned by ministers from the MDC formations. There is need for Zanu-PF to educate and mobilise the unemployed youths, the MDC abandoned workers and the academia, highlighting and moonlighting how the MDC formations have caused the evil happenings to occur in Zimbabwe.

Workers too, particularly teachers must understand and embrace the shona adage that they always teach to school children which says “kusina mai hakuendwi”.

Icho!
