WHERE is Onismor Bhasera heading to next?
That was the big question in Zimbabwe and South Africa yesterday after the Zimbabwe international suddenly re-appeared in this part of the world.Bhasera has been to South Africa, where he met his manager Ralph Nkomo, fuelling speculation that he could return to Super Diski and was also home yesterday amid reports that he could be training with a local club.

Given that this is the big period, for those who want to seal moves, Bhasera’s appearance in this part of the world, at a time when he should be negotiating for a deal in Europe, if he is staying there, has set the rumour mill flying.

Bhasera has been looking for a new club after parting ways with English League Two side Plymouth Argyle.
Although Nkomo, wouldn’t reveal all the details of the player’s visit to South Africa, he confirmed to the Siya crew that he is working on a potential deal overseas.

“I need to make sure that Bhasera is sorted out. He arrived here over the weekend. He is here on a private visit. We just want to sort out something,” said Nkomo.
When asked if he would consider offering Bhasera to Chiefs, Nkomo replied by pointing out that the defending PSL champions have got a lot of depth in the left back position.

“Kaizer Chiefs have enough left backs. It would be wrong of me to take him there because I’ve got another left-back there in Jimmy (Jambo),” explained Nkomo.
Bhasera was one of the best players at the Amakhosi during his spell with the Soweto giants, between 2007 and 2009. Chiefs coach Stuart Baxter says he was pleased with Knowledge Musona’s performance in the 1-0 win against Mpumalanga Black Aces, but insists the striker will have to adapt to the team’s style of play.

The Zimbabwean international played his first competitive game for Amakhosi since leaving Naturena for Germany two years ago, and had a few chances to get on the scoresheet too. Baxter was happy with what he saw from the player, but says there is quite a bit of room for improvement.

“Considering the time he has spent with us, Knowledge did very well,” the coach says. “We would like Knowledge to play more facing the opponents’ goal rather than with his back to goal.

“He’ll need to get used to the way we play because it’s a little bit more progressive than what he used to play with his club in Germany. I watched DVDs (of their games), and they tend to rotate the ball a little bit more than we do.

“But again, for his first real game with us, I think he got into two or three really good positions and with a little bit of luck he could have scored a goal.”
Meanwhile, Khama Billiat could end up at either Orlando Pirates or Mamelodi Sundowns .

Reports yesterday said a Sundowns’ team was in Cape Town to discuss the possible transfer of Billiat.
Pirates have also moved in and KickOff are running a poll asking their online readers where they believe Khama should play.

Pirates lead the way with 71.3 percent of the respondents saying Khama should join the Bucs while 17,4 percent said he should move to Sundowns. The remainder said he should stay at Ajax Cape Town — Sports Reporter/Laduma/KickOff
