A DESPERATE family is appealing for information that may lead to the whereabouts of their 73-year-old grandfather who went missing sometime in September last year.
Alexander Ushewokunze was last seen at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals where he was admitted.
“I accompanied my grandfather (Ushewokunze) to Parirenyatwa where he was admitted on September 23.
“He was suffering from dementia and I left him for treatment.
“I was surprised to receive a call from the hospital informing me that my grandfather was missing,” said Isaac Kunorozva.
Ushewokunze was last seen wearing a navy blue suit with a yellow T-shirt inside and black shoes.
Kunorozva said the security guard, who was manning the hospital’s gate, told him that he boarded a commuter omnibus, saying he was going to Hatfield.
“I am begging anyone who might have seen him to advise us, we have looked for him everywhere, I am now appealing to everyone for help.
“He once disappeared last year and we found him in Marondera.
“When we found him, he could not clearly explain what had happened to him except saying he heard voices calling to him,” said Kunorozva.
He said a police report was made.
Before Ushewokunze went missing, he was residing at a plot in Banket.
l Anyone with information, which may lead to the whereabouts of Ushewokunze, may report to any nearest police station or contact Kunorozva at 0713 151 365 or 0773 422 045
