A FAMILY from Matabeleland North is living in agony as they search for answers following the sudden disappearance of popular Bulawayo-based hairdresser Kuda Mushangwa—last seen in 2024!
The Mushangwa family is appealing to the public for any leads or information about the whereabouts of their beloved relative, whose sudden silence has sparked fear and panic.
Kuda, who was well known in beauty circles for running her own cosmetics shop, lived in one of Bulawayo’s suburbs and regularly travelled to Tsholotsho to visit family—until she mysteriously vanished.
Speaking to B-Metro, her devastated brother Tendai Mushangwa said it’s now been over six months without any form of communication, not even from Kuda’s South Africa-based siblings who she used to contact regularly.
“We pray every day for the safe return of Kuda. We have been hoping she will return or call us but to no avail,” said a heartbroken Tendai.
According to the family, the last time Kuda visited Tsholotsho was sometime in 2024. After that, she vanished into thin air, cutting all communication, and leaving behind a trail of questions and no answers.
Loved ones are deeply concerned that something may have happened to Kuda, especially given how close-knit and family-oriented she was.
“She never went this long without reaching out. Even if she had relocated, she would’ve let someone know,” Tendai added.
Kuda’s sudden disappearance has left not only her family but also her loyal clients and friends in Bulawayo stunned, with many taking to social media to express their shock and urge anyone with info to speak up.
Police have been notified, but so far, no leads have surfaced.
The family is now turning to the public for help. If you’ve seen Kuda Mushangwa or have any information regarding her whereabouts, please contact her brother Tendai on 071 952 0534 or report to the nearest police station.
As each day passes without a word, the Mushangwa family clings to hope—but the silence is deafening.
Let’s help bring Kuda and home. Someone out there knows something—speak up before it’s too late!
B-Metro will continue to follow this developing story.
