WHERE IS RONNIE?

H-Metro Reporter

THREE days after a report was filed claiming he allegedly sexually abused a teenage Form One pupil, Ronnie Ngwenya is yet to be questioned by the police.

He went underground, immediately after the report was filed, on Friday.

Police visited the trendy club, which he manages in Harare on Friday night, but could not locate him.

“He did not come for work as usual, which is surprising given that Friday is the biggest day, in terms of business, at the club,” said a source. “He must have known that the police would come looking for him there.

“What we are hearing is that he has contacted some powerful people, which he came to know through his job as a night club manager, asking for them to help him.

“He has been promised some help but they told him that he should get underground, for now, while they try to sort out his case.”

The 13-year-old Form One pupil underwent medical tests on Friday.

She was staying at Ngwenya’s home for the school holidays.
