Calum English Brown says he is happy with his move to Join Chicken Inn and believes it was the right decision for his career.
English-Brown, who is affectionately referred to as the White Lion in football circles, joined the Gamecocks from relegated side WhaWha.

He confirmed that a number of clubs including Dynamos, were after his services but settled for Bulawayo.
Speaking to H-Metro he said:

“Dynamos and a number of teams contacted me and my manager,” he said.

“But I am very happy with my move to Chicken Inn.

“I think I have made the right decision for my career. I am looking forward to playing in the next season.”

“I want to improve on the season that I had and help the team fight for the championship next season. I want to work hard and take the next step in my career and prove myself at a bigger club,” he said.

English-Brown believes the Gamecocks are one of the best clubs in the country that have ambitions to fight for the championships.

He believes his conversation with the board and coach Joey Antipas was crucial in him signing for the side.
“Chicken Inn is one of the best clubs in the country and I wanted to be in a team that will be challenging for the championship.

“I had a good feeling all the way, from the board, down to the coach.

“I was happy with the things he said and the same goes for the board. I had a good feeling about everything.”

He said more is yet to come from him and thanked the fans for the role they played in his game this season.

“I really appreciate all your support. I see messages on social media and I always try to talk to the fans after the games and I hope they keep on supporting me. I know bigger things are yet to come.

He added:

“I had a decent debut season, it was quite tough and it’s unfortunate we went down.

“But, I am quite pleased though there are certain things I have to improve on.

“I am quite a perfectionist and I don’t think I will be totally satisfied with my performance, but I feel like I did well there and I can’t wait to show everything that I can offer,” he said
