Pastor Alph Lukau is the headline-hogging spiritual leader of Alleluia Ministries International (AMI) – a church better known for drama than doctrine.
According to the AMI website, he’s an “accomplished businessman” and a shining “icon in the marketplace” — clearly not your average Sunday preacher.
He’s also hyped up as a bible scholar and a renowned motivational speaker — though critics say he’s more showbiz than scripture.
Lukau launched his ministry in 2002 and hasn’t looked back — or looked humble – since.
He does everything with his wife Celestine Lukau, who co-pilots the glitzy gospel ship alongside him.
Controversy follows him like a shadow. He once claimed to heal HIV, TB, and other life-threatening diseases — and the backlash was biblical.
His empire spans tens of thousands of followers from South Africa to Europe and even South America — proving miracles (or marketing?) sell globally.
In a high-profile holy hookup, Lukau officiated the extravagant wedding of Duduzile Zuma, daughter of former South African president Jacob Zuma.
And yes — the man loves the soft life. His Instagram is full of luxury suits, top-of-the-range rides, and first-class everything. Nothing humble about this shepherd!
