A NJUBE woman’s cross-border hustle hit a dead end after she was busted with mbanje and Broncleer cough syrup worth a jaw-dropping $180 700!
Juliet Munetsi (43) found herself in deep trouble when detectives at Beitbridge Border Post pounced on a bus she was travelling in and discovered her drug-stuffed luggage.
Appearing before Bulawayo magistrate Maxwell Ncube, Juliet was charged with unlawful possession of dangerous drugs and unregistered medicines.
She was denied bail and will cool her heels behind bars until 15 April.

State prosecutor Nkanyezi Xaba opposed bail, arguing that Juliet was a flight risk with a strong South African connection. She’s also unemployed and likely to continue her illegal trade if set free.
The court heard that detectives from CID Drugs and Narcotics received a tip-off that a Zimbabwe-bound bus was ferrying contraband. They swooped in, and sure enough — Juliet’s pink Monarch bag gave her away.
Inside:
• 6kg of mbanje with a street value of $180 000
• 80 bottles of Broncleer (100ml each) worth $700Total haul: $180 700!
Now Juliet faces serious time if convicted — and the state isn’t taking any chances of her vanishing across the Limpopo.
