A supposedly much-hyped Vuzu party allegedly organised by some pupils from three local secondary schools on Friday last week was busted after the pupils, mostly girls, got drunk while waiting for transport to ferry them to their party venue.

The pupilsa misbehaving reportedly attracted the attention of other pupils and passersby who rushed to the scene and had a glimpse of them while twerking and dancing in sexually suggestive ways.

Some were reportedly hurling obscenities with reckless abandon.

Sensing danger that their wild celebrations were attracting a lot of people and spiralling out of control, some of the pupils mostly boys disappeared from the scene leaving behind the girls who were visibly drunk and could not walk on their own.

When a B-Metro news crew visited the scene around 1pm at the corner of George Silundika and 6th Avenue, two girls who were visibly drunk and struggling to walk were being carried away by their friends to a kombi which had come to collect them.

In separate interviews, pupils who spoke to B-Metro said they suspected that the pupils, mostly girls, were first time alcohol drinkers.

a?We suspect that those that misbehaved were first time drinkers. They were drinking spirits while waiting for others who were coming with a kombi to take them to the party venue in Burnside.

a?After having one too many they started shouting sengidakwe while dancing in sexually suggestive ways thereby attracting the attention of passersby and other pupils who had knocked off from school.

a?Itas unfortunate that the kombi delayed and by the time it arrived some of the boys had already disappeared leaving the girls who were visibly drunk entertaining the crowd with their erotic dances.

a?They were staggering and shouting obscenities to people who had gathered around to catch a glimpse of them,a? said a pupil who preferred anonymity.

The pupil said when a search was conducted in one of the pupilsa bags three bottles of vodka, three wine bottles, and condoms were found covered in school uniforms they had taken off in preparation for the party.

Of late, school going children have been holding Vuzu parties where they engage in group sex while abusing drugs.
