WHY MSENDAMI HAS IMPROVED

JOHANNESBURG. — Zimbabwe international Daniel Msendami has revealed how South African coach Morena Ramoreboli transformed his game this season.

Msendami joined the Jwaneng Galaxy of Botswana ahead of the 2022/23 season on loan from Zimbabwe powerhouse Highlanders.

At first, it was a loan deal with an option to buy, but after impressive performances, Galaxy signed the attacker permanently.

The Zimbabwe international was superb in front of goal after finding the back of the net 12 times and turned provider 16 times.

Msendami, whose contract in Botswana expires when the season ends, has been linked with a move to the DStv Premiership. Msendami says his great form in front of goal was because Ramoreboli changed his style of play, which became more direct.

“Coach Morena [Ramoreboli] improved my game,” Msendami told FARPost.

“I used to be a winger that sometimes goes back a lot. Now, I’m very direct in my position going forward.

“You must shoot and be more aggressive, so that made me score more goals. I hope I will continue to score more goals.

“It’s been very interesting [working with coach Morena], he’s helped me a lot, he’s made me who I am today. I now call him my father because he took me when I was nothing.

“He had belief in me and he pushed me when I was down. I’m very happy to be with him and coached by him.” — FARPost.
