Archbishop Emmanuel Mutumva has won 30,000 dollars in a casino. At the same time, he claimed that he had won because God had given him the winning formula. However, this “prophet” who told about divine revelations was simply kicked out of the casino after winning, so celebrating his victory was a little off the plan.
Emmanuel Mutumwa is the leader of the Johannes Masowe eChishanu apostolic sect in Zimbabwe. This lucky man had a massive win of 30,000 dollars, which he actively boasted about. Otherwise, he would not have been expelled from the casino, but his loud words about divine revelation simply could not fail to attract attention.
Moreover, he was banned not only from the establishment where he won but also from other casinos in Zimbabwe. The administrations of these gambling establishments decided that such help from the Lord was unfair. He was told to stay away because they feared it would infringe on the rights of other visitors and be against the interests of the gambling establishment. Thus, the celebration of victory was supplemented by grief.
It is unknown exactly which casino he won the jackpot and what game he played. However, a jackpot of $30,000 is entirely possible to win in any large or medium-sized gambling club in Zimbabwe. These jackpots are found not only in classic slots but also in online games such as Aviator, Plinko, and . Gamblers claim that this does not require any “divine power”: choosing games with high return rates (RTPs) is enough.
Emmanuel Mutumwa has accused the casino administration of being afraid of him because of his prophetic power. He claims the casino is scared of going bankrupt if he wins too often. He says winning is inevitable because the prophet received divine clues.
At the same time, according to the leader of the apostolic sect, Johanne Masowe eChishanu in Zimbabwe, the winner did not use the money for personal purposes. He needed it for good causes, such as paying school fees for some church members he leads. He also spent some of the money on start-up funds so that his wards could start businesses.
Archbishop Mutumwa says his casino winnings reflect the inexpressibility of God’s ways. He calls them a test of faith, not blind luck.
According to him, he asked God for guidance many times before winning. And he received a vision with numbers. In his opinion, this win, which helps lift the spirit of the community he leads, is a real blessing. At the same time, the manager of a local betting shop claims that imposing restrictions on those who win frequently is a common practice, regardless of the reasons behind it. Closing access to casinos is also a common practice.
