Wife arranges marriage on her own, Court hears

been customarily married for the past 20 years. We have had many altercations this year and on August 2 this year, I was surprised when she took me to the Rotten Row Courts.
“It was in the courts that I found out she had arranged the wedding secretly when she knew I had a second wife with whom I have a child,” Matinya said. Problems arose when Mad­zokere learnt that he had a sec­ond wife claim­ing that she wanted to protect their property.
“She started beating me up and com­ing to my workplace where she harasses me in front of my workmates and employer. Right now she threatens me with death and shouts at me in the mid­dle of the night whenever she wakes up.”
Matinya accused his wife of spitting on his face while forcing his daughter to text unspeci­fied threats. Magistrate Ms Rekinah Dzikiti asked Madzorere if she had arranged the wed­ding without Matinya’s knowledge. Madzorere denied the claims saying the couple organised the marriage.
Ms Dzik­iti granted the couple a reciprocal peace order.
