AN 18-year-old marriage has crumbled after a wife staged a romantic stunt with a relative to confront her husband’s jealousy, H-Metro has learnt.
Rester Magondo Charuka revealed she exchanged love messages and posed for a romantic photograph with a man named Learnmore, popularly known as “Professor,” as part of a plan to “fix” her husband, Kombo Charuka, for allegedly hacking her phone.
Rester said it was her way of teaching Kombo a lesson for his “obsessive jealousy.”
“Ukatsvaga makudo mugomo unomawana,” Rester said.
“I never cheated on my husband and had no intention of doing so.
“After discovering that Kombo had hacked my phone, I sat down with Learnmore and we agreed to exchange love messages and take a romantic photograph to make him feel the pain of his actions.
“We forgot to inform Learnmore’s wife about our plan but Kombo fell for the sting and moved out of the house.
“That was my way of dealing with his jealousy and I have no regrets.”
She said Kombo’s jealousy had been a serious issue in their marriage since they tied the knot 18 years ago.
Learnmore confirmed the controversial plan, claiming his involvement was solely to expose Kombo’s hacking and not due to any romantic ties with Rester.
“We never dated,” said Learnmore. “Rester is my relative, we are like mother and son through our maternal side.
“She asked me to check her phone when it started acting strangely and we discovered her husband had hacked it.
“Rester came up with the idea to send love messages to see how Kombo would react.
“Unfortunately, he took it as an excuse to leave his family.
“I want to believe that the two had long standing differences and Kombo has found a way to move out of the marriage,” said Learnmore.
However, Kombo dismissed Learnmore’s claims of being a relative and accused him of interfering in his marriage.
“They are not related at all,” said Kombo.
“Learnmore’s wife wasn’t even aware of their so-called plan.
“To make matters worse, Rester’s parents have been receiving financial support from Learnmore, which raised further suspicions.
“I confronted her parents but they claimed they didn’t know about the relationship.
“Learnmore has been paying their medical bills, which deeply disturbed me.
“I’ve since moved out of the house and taken some of my belongings,” said Kombo.
