AN UNIDENTIFIED man was found dead at Denver Farm in Umguza district, on the outskirts of Bulawayo by a herd boy on Saturday afternoon.
The deceased is approximately 40 to 50 years old and was wearing a green jacket, khaki jacket and navy blue jacket with a white strip written Mahlasedi High School, a white T-shirt, a black trousers and a grey slides.
Circumstances are that on 6 July 2024 at around 1pm, a man employed as a herd boy was looking for cattle in Denver farm when he spotted human remains along a footpath in a bushy area. The remains had been scavenged by wild animals. He saw a skull besides clothes.
There were some ribs about five meters away from the skull and a black trouser with a grey croc slides about 10 meters away. The grey croc slides and bones of both legs from the hip down to the ankle were about eight meters away from the skull.
He reported the matter to the police and the remains of the deceased were ferried to United Bulawayo Hospital (UBH) for post mortem. Bulawayo provincial police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube is appealing to the public for assistance to identify the body.
“We urge the public to always have some identification cards as this helps the police with the investigations. We are appealing to the public with missing relatives to visit the Cowdray Park police station or contact any police station,” he said.
