Urban Reloaded with Swagga T and Brie
Welcome to the column that always knows your cool and is there to make sure your swag is in check all the time. Get the latest scoop on what teens are up to in the urban community.
Teen Star Alert
Every teen loves a good party and what better way to get together with your besties and party up a storm. We like our music loud and everything that is sung does not always have to make sense to the older people.

Don’t get it twisted and those who don’t catch the drift can just bounce! The party can always go with just the teens!  Most of you must have seen teen concerts on TV where teen sensations perform for exclusive concerts. Boy is that fun! There were Hanna Montana concerts back in the day, and there was One Direction,
Well step aside Willow Smith and make way for the next best pop icon Thamsanqa Moyo.

Popularly known as Tammy, the 16 year-old sensation will host a music concert at Harare’s Alliance Francaise next weekend.

Tammy has been in the limelight since she was seven because of her ambassadorial roles at Child Line Zimbabwe although she prefers to be called an inspirational ambassador.

Well, she takes to the stage over the weekend together with boy band Jam Signal.

It is going to be more of a coming out concert for the well travelled pop singer who will reintroduce herself to the world stage as a serious artiste. Her music is inspirational but a little bird tells us she has serious Beyonce moves.

I don’t know where you will be next weekend but the Cool Reloaded will be getting down to Tammy’s music.

Magetsi Dance
Still on dancing; our favourite dance of the week is the “Magetsi” dance. Invented by local Dancehall deejay Smiley, for a moment, it was the dance of the night during Wednesday’s Zim Dancehall awards. It is quite simple and looks even cooler when being done by two or more people!

Teen Awards
It is rather sad that we do not have any form of awards for teens in the arts. That sucks! But check this out; we have teens who have been representing at various awards ceremonies this week. Thumbs up to Ras Pompy for representing the teen world at the Zim Dancehall awards. Although he did not take home a trophy, much respect for an amazing performance. We also congratulate Arundel School for earning a Reps Afdis Schools Festival award. We will keep you posted on the Repteens awards next week, keep your eyes glued on this page!

Decoded
In the spirit of Dancehall check out these Jamaican words that we love using in the urban dictionary.

Rude bwoi – Is a thug or gangster, sometimes spelt as “Rude Boy”. Female counterparts are called rude girl or rude gal.

Big up yourself – Jamaican salutary greeting accompanied by closed fists bumped one atop the other expressing well wishes, friendship and respect. Big up yourself Urban Reloaded fans!
