Construction of a traffic circle aimed at managing congestion at the intersection of Willowvale Road and Harare Drive is now underway.
This development comes after the Government has since completed the construction of a road between Willowvale Road and Simon Mazorodze Road.
Traffic is now being diverted as construction gets underway.
This development also comes after the rehabilitation of Solomon Mujuru Road (formerly Kirkman Road) commenced this Thursday, as the Government has started attending to some of the major roads in and around Harare, which are in bad condition.
The works on Solomon Mujuru Road (formerly Kirkman Road) are being conducted from N Richards Turn Off to Sanganayi Inn Junction.
Transport and Infrastructural Development Minister Felix Mhona, engineers and Government officials are touring the road and assessing progress that has been made so far along the road in Dzivarasekwa.
This week, the minister also led a delegation to assess some city roads. The minister, who was accompanied by senior officials and engineers, first visited roads in Braeside, Arcadia, Cranborne, Hatfield, Waterfalls, Sunningdale, Houghton Park and Southerton, among other areas.
Following the assessment, the Government has started to attend to some of the roads, as some of them need to be constructed, while others need maintenance.
