WINGATE will host a Zimbabwe Golf Association fund-raising tournament in two weeks time.  The tournament will be held at the same time as the Julius Robinson Trophy, which is one of the most prestigious amateur golf events in the country. ZGA vice-president Boniface Chigorimbo said proceeds from the dinner and the tournament will be channeled to the ZGA development programmes and the University of Zimbabwe Golf Scholarship Fund.

“The evening will be a celebration of the success of Zimbabwe’s golf industry over the past years. The evening will also be a perfect platform to honour outstanding champions and contributors to the sport, promoting golf journalism, whilst encouraging professional practices in all sectors of the golf industry. The evening will provide recognition, inspiration, entertainment and a first-hand opportunity to partner various golf development programmes.

“The Zimbabwe Golf Awards will bring the whole of Zimbabwe golf and other sporting disciplines together to thank and celebrate the works of the unsung heroes.
