Winky D, Jah Prayzah to light up Beitbridge

It will be the first time that Winky D performs in the town with a live band. Jah Prayzah is expected to mesmerise his legion of fans for the first time this year.

The show is dubbed “Independence Bash” and will be hosted by well-known music promoter Blessing Mureyana of Gaza Sounds aka General B.
General B yesterday said fans should expect a memorable show. He said the show will start at 2pm to cater for children who are also avid followers of the Ninja President and Jah Prayzah.

He said they had lined up a number of local upcoming artistes such as Utta 1, 2, Roget T, Mr Bellas, Wonder Boy, Big-boy and Accuse among others.
“We have done everything necessary in terms of preparations and we are promising revellers a memorable show. We have also lined up a number of entertainment activities for both adults and children.

“They will be lots of popcorn, full bar and catering, games for children at the stadium,” he said.
He assured fans tight security and urged them to attend the show in their numbers .

“There is going to be a state-of-the-art PA system and a mixed bag of music to suit every music taste. We are having the “Ninja President” and Jah Prayzah sharing the stage at the same venue for the first time.

“In terms of preparations we have covered a lot of ground and we are ready to roll,” said General B.
Jah Prayzah said the fans should expect fireworks since he will unleash the latest hits from his new album “Tsviriyo”.

“I am ready for the show and this is my first time to share the stage with Winky D. I know my latest album has been doing well in Beitbridge and this is an opportunity for my fans to see me live on stage,” he said.

Winky D’s band manager, Jonathan Banda, said fans should expect new songs from  the “Musarova Bigman” hitmaker.
“We are ready for the show and we hope to take them down memory lane. We have had a number of good shows in Beitbridge and fans are in for a treat,” said Banda.
