Kadoma will host the “New Year’s Eve Shutdown” gig at Odyssey Night Club, with Winky D, Shinsoman, Dj Dee Nosh and the Dembo Brothers on stage. The gig will see Winky D, a.k.a the Ninja President, go head-to-head with Shinsoman in a potentially explosive night.

Winky D, born Wallace Chirimuko, is expected to dish out his hits among them “Bhachi neJean”, “Ninja Saturday”, Buss Di Shot” and “Musarova Bigman”, among others. Fans should also expect one or two surprises from Winky D, who recently got married customarily to a mystery woman.

For long, rumour had it that Winky D was dating one of his label-mates, Tendazvaitwa Chitimbe aka Lipsy, but the fiery chanter denied the rumours saying the two had a “professional relationship”.

On the other hand, Shinsoman is battling reports that he is mentally unbalanced. Those who are close to the dancehall sensation say his behaviour has been very erratic, but in an interview on Star FM Breakfast Club he debunked the reports.

Like or hate him, Shinso is climbing high with his single “Mawaya Waya” where he talks about his past and his future as one of the hottest chanters.

Lyrically-talented Shinso surely knows how to lay his vocals on any beat and his stage performance is full of energy. Kudzai Matondo confirmed the gig, saying it was a mix of dancehall and sungura music.

“We are delighted to bring Winky D and Shinsoman on one stage. We hope it will be a thrilling night of music and dance. Winky D and Shinso are doing well and the Dembos have a huge following in Kadoma.

“The show will also see the return of D&L disc jockeys. Fans should come in their numbers and feel the music,” he said.
