MUSIC legends, Winky D and Sungura maestro Suluman Chimbetu are billed for an explosive shindig in the usually sleepy town of Gweru at the end of this month. The show, which has been dubbed the “Midlands Shutdown Party 2016”, will be held at the Midlands Hotel on July 30. The organisers of the show, 2Kings Entertainment said it will also feature other names such as Legion, DJs Blesh, Pied Piper, Kaysh, Judah B and Tonny.

“All the artistes are promising fireworks and are ready to shut the city down with sterling performances,” said DJ Blesh who is on the DJ line up. Dee Nosh from 2 Kings Entertainment, said as a promoter they sought to promote local music and deliver mainstream entertainment to the doorstep of every Zimbabwean in every city and town.

Dee Nosh added that they would soon be incorporating artistes from different cities to spice the line-up and also to promote them.

“This is only the beginning; we strive to turn the entertainment industry around. We want to expose upcoming artistes to the nation and also promote our local music and brands. ‘We are going to be hosting and holding shows across the country every month,” he said
