WISE WATERS thrashed How Mine 25-14 in the Bulawayo Metropolitan Province Darts League on Wednesday night to maintain a 100 percent start after the first three rounds to the season. They trashed Zimbabwe School of Mines 24-15 and PPC Wolves 23-16 in their first two encounters. Wise Waters captain Merlin Bafana said they are not taking their feet off the pedal boldly declaring their championship aspirations this year.
“We have played well so far and we are not backing down, this season we want to challenge for the title and be the first team to beat Archers,” said Bafana.
Champions Archers thumped Unit Fairbridge 28-11 to also continue their unbeaten record which stretches to last season in the local league.
Railstars won 32-17 over New Dawn Mine to stay unbeaten also with nine points while Highlanders were beaten 19-20 by Old Nic Mine.
Bosso are having mixed fortunes so far as they have won one and lost two matches since the league started.
Lethukuthula Nkomo, a member of the BMPDL executive committee, said he is happy that the league has started smoothly and it’s progressing well.
“We are happy everything is going well, the teams are now picking momentum after a slow start, so it’s getting interesting, we are hoping the league will continue with this fine flow until the end,” he said.
