A 49-year-old woman from Ward 21, Dorset Shurugwi (name supplied) allegedly shocked mourners at the funeral wake of Lydia Nkomo with a confession that she killed the deceased through witchcraft.
She also added that she was part of a gang of six wizards and witches in the village.
A village source told B-Metro that the self-confessed witch went as far as naming her accomplices from the underworld who were also at the funeral wake.
a�?Some of the people whom she was allegedly working with left the funeral wake in a huff while others remained denying being part of the a�?ganga�� of witches,a�? said the source.
The local councillor was then called to calm tempers for the burial to continue.
a�?I was invited to help calm tempers so that there could be a smooth burial ceremony,a�? said Clr Simon Kamurai. .
