A MAN has told a court in Harare that he wants to end his marriage, which has subsisted for 10 years, because he claims his wife wants to practice witchcraft.
Jowani Kamanda said:
“I don’t love my wife anymore. In 2023, we had a misunderstanding over a stand’s documents and in January she said she wanted to practice witchcraft.
“I have stayed with her for 10 years and we are traditionally married.
“It bothers me why she wants to do witchcraft and I cannot stay with a witch.
“l want her out of my house.”
However, his wife, Marvis Muzara, disputed the claims.
“He threatens to kill me with a screwdriver and chases me away from the house.
“He calls me a witch but all I said was that l wanted to find out what happened to our residential stand by seeking spiritual help from sangomas.” Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Marvis’ request for a protection order.
