A woman told the Harare Civil Court that she bleeds each time she has sex.
Primrose Nkomo appeared before the court seeking for a protection order against her husband Farai Makuyana for assaulting her after denying him his conjugal rights.
“My husband assaults me every time l deny him his conjugal rights.
“He forces me to have sex and l end up bleeding.
“He does it roughly.”
She went on to say that when she tries to divorce him, he threatens her.
“He says l should never end the relationship if so he will make me crippled.
“When l try to leave he chokes me , calls me a witch.
In response Farai denied the claims.
“We have not been intimate for a year now.
“She denies me my conjugal rights.
“I get angry sometimes but l have never forced her.
“Yes she bleeds when we have sex but it’s not because l do it roughly.
Magistrate Meenal Naratom granted Primrose’s request of a protection order.
