A BULAWAYO woman came from an all night prayer meeting to find her husband with two prostitutes in their matrimonial bedroom.
Monica Mkandla, 28, of Nkulumane suburb, told Western Commonage magistrate Themba Chimiso that her husband Calvin Musariri, was abusive.
Musariri, 36, who is being charged with physical abuse, is also accused of violating terms of an earlier protection order granted to his wife sometime early this year.
Prosecuting, Whatmore Tembo said on September 20 at around 6AM, Mkandla came back home from an all night prayer meeting and found Musariri with two prostitutes in their matrimonial bed.
“Musariri had a misunderstanding with his wife after she found him with prostitutes in their home. He then sank his teeth into her right shoulder and she sustained visible injuries,” he said.
Musariri was not asked to plead but told the court he brought prostitutes because he had gone for a long time without having sex.
“Your Worship, since the protection order I had not slept with my wife. I brought two women because I was sex starved by my wife. It has really been a long time. I bit her on the shoulder because she had attacked me first so I was defending myself,” he said.
Musariri was remanded in custody to today
