Canat let go!
The above lyrics from musicians such as Adele and Mariah Carey best suit a Magwegwe woman who had a hard time letting go of her ex-husband and camped outside his house to prove her undying love.
Merjury Shumba refused to let her husband Lovemore Sibanda off the hook and decided to camp under a tree after learning that he had married his neighbour. Sibanda was left with no choice, but to seek an eviction order for his ex-wife.
In his affidavit, Sibanda said: a?Merjury Shumba is my ex-wife and she decided to break our relationship without any reasons.
a?I then married another woman and when she learnt that I was staying with my wife, she came and forced herself into my parentas house.
a?She is refusing to leave and I want the law to assist me in this case.a?
In her defence outline, Shumba stated that she was bitter that her husband dumped her for their married neighbour Gally Moyo.
a?He threw my clothes out of the house and started staying with Gally Moyo whose husband stays in the rural areas.
a?I had nowhere to go and started sleeping under a tree,a? Shumba said.
The presiding magistrate Abednico Ndebele ordered Shumba to leave the home and accept that their relationship was over.
