Number 321 Ingezi in Kadoma had just finished cleaning the veranda of the shop at around 5am on Monday last week.
The two men pounced on her when she went back into the shop but she resisted their attack. She was eventually overpowered. The robbers undressed the woman while pinning her to the ground.
Acting Mashonaland West police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Ian Kohwera confirmed the incident adding that investigations are still in progress.
“The robbers packed the clothes she was wearing and some clothes that were on sale in the shop,” he said. The robbers took a cellphone, a solar lamp and US$160.
“When they released her, she grabbed one of the men’s jacket leading to a scuffle in which she was stabbed in the head.”
She was rescued by a security guard.
