A HARARE woman claims she is being tormented by mysterious events, including suffering a miscarriage every time her pregnancy reaches three months, and is blaming her lover’s wife for all this.

Patience Hesero claims it all began when her lover’s wife, Dudzai Dumba, found out about their affair and visited a sangoma.

Patience told Harare magistrate Judith Taruvinga that she started to find strange objects in her home.

She was granted a peace order.

“When Dumba discovered that I was having an affair with her husband, she started sending threatening messages.

“Sometimes she would call warning me to leave her husband, threatening to destroy my life if I do not leave him.

“She went on to visit a traditional healer because l had refused to end the relationship with her husband and this is what sparked the strange events.

“I always have a miscarriage when my pregnancy reaches three months.

“Sometimes I wake up to find sand and bloodstains on my doorstep.

“She even hires people to assault me,” she said.

In response, Dumba agreed to have warned Hesero to stop having an affair with her husband.

“I did warn her to end the relationship with my husband, but I am not the one causing her to have miscarriages,” Dumba said.

Magistrate Taruvinga ordered Dumba to stop harassing Hesero and to refrain from making any further accusations.
