WOMAN EXTORTS LOVER OVER FALSE RAPE CLAIMS

A GLEN VIEW woman is in trouble after she extorted over US$4 000 from her lover over false rape allegations.

Shantel Chikwana (24) appeared before Harare magistrate, Dennis Mangosi, yesterday charged with extortion.

The brief allegations are that Chikwana was in a relationship with Ranganai Dondo of Epworth.

Chikwana allegedly then asked her boyfriend for money, which he said he didn’t have. On February 20, Chikwana allegedly messaged her boyfriend pretending to be a police officer who had received a report of rape against him.

She received various amounts of money, on several occasions, which were paid by Dondo in order to evade arrest.

The money amounted to US$4 700.
