A Harare woman was embarrassed in court yesterday when she failed to state the ages of her four children who she was demanding maintenance for.
Svodai Munozivei dragged her ex-husband, Gabriel Hwamanda, to court demanding US$190 for the upkeep of the four minor children.
“I want US$190 for the upkeep of our four children,” she said.
But when magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini asked Svodai the ages of the children, she stammered.

“I have four children, but I don’t know their ages, I have forgotten their ages,” Svodai responded.
Gabriel offered her $80 000.
“I am not offering school fees because I am not employed. I do not know where to start from. I do not know where to get the money to pay for fees, but I will try my best to assist,” he said. Magistrate Dhlamini ordered Gabriel to $80 000 and pay school fees every term.
