The school’s groundsman, Russell Tanana Mutanyana (66), found the body of the woman believed to be aged between 20-30 years on the football ground on Thursday last week. Mashonaland East provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Bulisani Bhebhe, said the woman was wearing a blue jean skirt with a red belt, a black and white striped blouse and a blue and green track-jacket.
He said that her takkies, which were soaked in blood, were placed beside the body. Insp Bhebhe said the woman did not have any documents to identify her. Police are appealing to members of the public with information to contact the police.
“We are therefore appealing to members of the public with information leading to the arrest of the culprit to contact their nearest police station or detective Assistant Inspector Mazhuwa of CID Marondera on (0279) 23391/0776 202 203,” said Insp Bhebhe.
