A RUSAPE woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband’s sister after an altercation over an electricity bill.
Kundai Thandezile (26) stabbed Dorothy Matongo to death.
She was brought before the Rusape Magistrates’ Court charged with murder and she was remanded in custody to Friday, for her trial.
It is alleged that Kundai stabbed Dorothy, who is her husband’s sister, in a dispute which arose from an electricity bill.
Allegations are that on May 8, Kundai, and Dorothy, were at home in Vengere, Rusape, when they had an altercation over the power bill.
It is alleged Kundai got hold of a kitchen knife and stabbed Dorothy once on the upper left side of the chest.
Dorothy staggered for a few metres before she collapsed was bleeding profusely from the chest. Kundai is accused of also threatening to stab Dorothy’s daughter as she was trying to stop the bleeding using her T-shirt.
Dorothy died on her way to Mutare General Hospital.
A police report was made leading to the arrest of Kundai.
