Woman loses protection order case against hubby

A CITY woman has accused her husband of frequenting her workplace and causing drama.

Barbra Svinurai said she was being physically abused, insulted and chased away from their matrimonial home by her husband, Tichawona Mukokova.

“He chased me away from our matrimonial home, along with my brother, around 10pm.

“Our marriage is beyond repair and we can no longer stay together. He physically abused me last year in August after I confronted him about his infidelity. I just want him to stay away from my workplace because I am tired of him.

“I cannot cope with his presence, as he insults and assaults me,” said Barbra.

Tichawona denied the allegations.

“She is lying about me beating her up. I did not chase her away, but she left while I was at work,” Tichawona said.

In her ruling, magistrate Rutendo Machingure dismissed the protection order application.
