Woman raped, killed dumped in Mukuvisi

Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Tadious Chibanda confirmed the incident.
“CID Homicide attended the scene and took the body to Harare Hospital for post-mortem,” Insp Chibanda said.
He said police had started investigating the case.
“We are suspicious that this adult woman could have been raped before her body was dumped in the Mukuvisi River.
“Her hands were tied with a belt and she had no underwear,” Insp Chibanda said.
Several people have been killed and dumped in Mukuvisi River.
The river has become notorious as it is used for dumping.
In May this year, a man dragged a 29-year-old woman to Mukuvisi River’s bank and sexually molested her throughout the night.
