A WOMAN claims that her ex-boyfriend has been arranging for her to be kidnapped in retaliation to her decision to end the relationship.
Tariro Chigweshe said she left Kudakwashe Gweshe after finding out that he was cheating on her with many girls.
She said three weeks ago she received a phone call from Kudakwashe and, in the background, were people saying they wanted to come and kidnap her.
Tariro said she received a phone call from Kudakwashe’s friend who told her he had hired a vehicle to kidnap her.
She was seeking a protection order at Harare Civil Court.
“He is very manipulative and always denies that he cheats.
“He is always saying I will come after you even if you left me.
“I fear for my life as he said he will bribe the police if I report him.
“He needs to stop contacting me on my phone or coming to my house as well as sending his mum to get us together again,” said Tariro.
Kudakwashe said:
“I have never threatened her, all I want is to get my property at her house.”
Magistrate Johanna Mukwesha granted Tariro a protection order valid for five years and ordered Kudakwashe to neither threaten her, nor visit her house.
