A 27-year-old Chipinge woman scalded her four-year-old daughter after accusing her of having an affair with seven-year-old boy.
The woman, name withheld, placed a burning firewood on the minor’s private parts, who later told her father. A complaint was made leading to her arrest.
She was however sentenced to 24 months in prison, of which 12 months were suspended for the next five years on condition of good behaviour .
The remaining 12 months were set aside on condition she performs 480 hours of unpaid work.
