A desperate mother from Chitungwiza, is seeking financial help for her 7-year-old daughter who needs US$85 000 for heart transplant surgery in India.
Tambudzai Tutayi’s daughter, Gladys Marasha was diagnosed with a serious heart condition at the age of five and has since spent much of her time in the hospital.
She said her daughter swells every time.
“She swells every time she falls sick, and sometimes she strokes.
“In 2022, Gladys suffered a stroke that affected the entire right side of her body, leaving her reliant on her left side for mobility.
“I am appealing to the Zimbabwean community to help me raise the money needed for my daughter’s surgery,” she said.
Tutayi also has another disabled child, which makes this situation more challenging.
The funds will cover Gladys’ medical expenses, travel costs, and passport fees.
“Every little bit helps, and I am grateful for any support we can receive,” she said.
