Woman ‘steals’ $11 000 from boyfriend

Mr Jeremiah Mutsindikwa, for the State, told the court that on 2 March this year, Mr Steven Tavengwa withdrew $11 000 from his Bulawayo Main Post Office Savings Bank account and gave it to Ngulube for safekeeping.

This was done on the understanding that she would hand it back on demand by Mr Tavengwa.

On 19 March, Mr Tavengwa demanded his money back but Ngulube allegedly became evasive and failed to hand over the money.

Mr Tavengwa eventually made a report to the police leading to her arrest.
