A HARARE man said his wife had converted their home into a lodge.
He said this left him with no choice, but to approach the Harare Civil Court to apply for a protection order.
This followed a decision by his wife to shame him by bringing different men to their matrimonial home whenever he was away.
The protection order was granted.
In his submission, Chiyambiro Maurire told the court that his wife, Memory Chikarako, was also in the habit of threatening to kill him.
Chiyambiro stated that Memory uses their house as a lodge in the presence of his children.
“She brings her boyfriends into our matrimonial home when I am away.
“I gave her money for the children’s school fees, but she used it for other things.
“She is now in the habit of selling my properties to pay her debts,” he said.
In her response, Memory denied the accusations.
“I have never brought anyone to our matrimonial home.
“He is the one who has a tendency of leaving his family,” she said.
